Mr. Robert Greer’s professional experience includes forty years managing and leading experiential (learning by direct experience) education in the outdoors programs and companies in five countries. Including four years building and operating an environmental and outdoor education company in Hong Kong SAR. For more than two decades Robert held three posts at the National Director level for the world’s leading, oldest and largest experiential outdoor education movement, Outward Bound, in Canada, the USA and Hong Kong.

He has held outdoor activity and safety certifications with various organizations such as Wilderness Medical Associates, Paddle Canada, Outdoor Counsel of Canada, Red Cross, Lifesaving Society, and Canadian Avalanche Association.

Robert has worked with, and for, nationally and internationally over thirty experiential education groups, outdoor organizations and corporations. Some of these have included Scouts Canada, Canadian Department of Defence Officer and Cadet Training Programs, Alberta Government Public Relations, The School for Field Studies, HSBC, RBC, Alcan Aluminum, Province of British Columbia Social Services, University of California, University of Calgary, Utahloy International School Guangzhou, Canadian International School HK, Australian International School HK, and the Chinese International School HK.

My main passion is to learn, and help others to learn, about the discovery of the "Self."

“Who am I?”

“What am I?”

“What am I capable of?”

“What do I want and who do I want to be?”

The exploration and mastery of these four key life skills is the main activity and objective of the Vancouver Outdoor Society outdoor education programs.
