Good evening dear parents,

In order to keep you informed of our day-to-day adventures, I will be sharing a little bit of what we did on each day.

Today our young adventurers enjoyed a great day of horseback riding lessons in Langley. They Had the opportunity to ride and control the horses by themselves, listening to the guides’ instructions on how to hold the reins, communicate with the horses, and tell where to go and when to stop. A great way to start our outdoor adventure.

We all had the opportunity to pet, brush, and hug some horses and even a donkey soft and fluffy as a llama! On an equally important side, we kept focusing on the safety and respect rules so everyone can enjoy a great time without conflicts. A direct reflection of this is that it was already possible to see some new friendships forming during the game we played.

At the end of the day, the smiles and sweaty foreheads can tell that it was a great day. Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow for our next adventure.

Have you all a great evening.

Sincerely,

Spyros Bormann

Good evening parents,

The week is picking up the pace as we ride through the ups and downs at Stanley Park bike trails.

Aiming to provide the best time for all the participants, we started the day assessing their bike abilities. Through that, we could focus on what every one could improve and we started with that. As the group’s confidence increased, we moved to more challenging trails until we reached the area with the highest elevation in the park, Prospect Point. The kids were rewarded with a well deserved ice cream for their efforts to get there.

From there, a long and fun downhill all the way to the starting point with a brief stop to climb a huge dead tree trunk by the sea wall.

Once we were back to the Memorial West Park, we had a debriefing session where everyone had a chance to share their highlights for the day and all the cool animals we found on the trip. And of course, more playground games.

See you all tomorrow for more adventures!

Sincerely,

Hello again parents,

Another successful day of extreme adventures!

Today we went rock climbing at the Smoke Bluffs Park. The capital of rock climbing in BC. Our young adventurers, once again divided into 2 groups, enjoyed the steep rocky surfaces of the park and a light hike through some trails.

Climbing time was led by our in-house climbing instructor and a partner who organized and adjusted all the gear for the climbers providing instructions and guiding them on their first steps towards being a rock-climber. With 4 different climbing lines with increasing difficulty, everyone had a chance to test their skills and conquer their fears step-by-step. The participants also stepped-up as belayers, the person who stays on the ground and provides the safety for the climber.

Hiking time was full of cool finds, like a tiny Garter snake soaking in the sun. At the end of the trail we reached a very well-maintained playground with many obstacles where the participants could play in the sun, rest on the shade of an old tree trunk, and cool off the heat. A well deserved reward for them all.

All the participants deserve many pats on their backs for challenging themselves on this unique experience.

See you all tomorrow for a hike through the canyons of Lynn Valley.

Sincerely,

Good evening friend,

Back for another adventure report!

Our destination today was the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge park. Our little explorers were guided through an immersive hiking among century old Douglas Firs, Red Cedars, and Western Hemlocks on a glacier sculpted canyon with multiple waterfalls of emerald waters. A perfect paradise for the local biodiversity.

With the orientation of the visitor centre’s staff, we ran a scavenger hunt around two breathtaking bridges, looking for hints to solve a riddle and collecting small samples of fauna and flora that were later analysed through a powerful microscope.

The day ended with a refreshing dip at the famous 30-foot pool, a famous spot in North Van where hundreds of people gather to enjoy the cold and crystal clear waters.

Tomorrow we head back to Squamish for our last adventure: The Aerial Ropes Course!

Have a great evening.

Sincerely,

Good evening friends!

The week comes to an end and so our land adventure.

Our last activity involved a lot of skill and courage from the participants. Ropes courses are always challenging and demanding and these little adventurers they can conquer they fear no matter how big the obstacle is.

During the whole week we saw this group evolving and learning more and more about themselves and today wasn’t different. All the participants deserve congratulations on their hard work today and during the whole week. We are all happy we could share our time with these amazing kids.

Thank you parents for your trust in our program and for the opportunity to present our work. Hope we could meet again in future programs and new adventures.

Thanks again and have you all a great weekend

Sincerely,

Spyros Bormann
