Good evening parents,

The week is picking up the pace and I would like to share a bit of what we did today.

We went to Stanley Park to ride through its trails and, aiming to provide a great experience for all the participants, we divided our group into two smaller groups. One group had the participants who were confident about their skills and wanted a more challenging ride, while the other group had the participants who were a little hesitant about the activity or just wanted a more relaxing day.

The participants had the opportunity to choose which group they wanted to join and we did our best to have everyone where they wanted to be while also having a proper ratio of instructor per participant. We also made clear that this wasn’t a definitive choice, and they could swap groups later in the day if they feel like.

With everything sorted, our groups took different routes and eventually “bumped” on each other a few times during the day. The participants were excited to share what they have done with the other groups every time we met. At the end of the day, we saw many sweaty, dusty, happy faces, which is the best way to evaluate the day.

Last, if you found some band-aids and scrapes on your kids today, look at them as proof that our brave riders were fearless and nearly unstoppable!

See you all tomorrow for more adventures!

Sincerely,

Hello again parents,

Another successful day of extreme adventures!

Today we went rock climbing at the Smoke Bluffs Park. The capital of rock climbing in BC. Our young adventurers, once again divided into 2 groups, enjoyed the steep rocky surfaces of the park and a light hike through some trails.

Climbing time was led by our in-house climbing instructor who organized and adjusted the gear for the climbers and provided instructions and guided them on their first steps towards being a rock-climber. Two different lines with increasing difficulty were set up and they all had the chance to test their skills on them.

Hiking time was full of cool finds, like slugs and beetles and a lot of plant identification. At the end of the trail we reached a very well-maintained playground with many obstacles where the participants could play in the sun, rest on the shade of an old tree trunk, and cool off with a lot of water play. A well deserved reward for them all.

All the participants deserve many pats on their backs for challenging themselves on this unique experience.

See you all tomorrow for a hike through the canyons of Lynn Valley.

Sincerely,

Good evening dear parents,

Back for another adventure report!

Our destination today was the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge park. Our little explorers were guided through an immersive hiking among century old Douglas Firs, Red Cedars, and Western Hemlocks on a glacier sculpted canyon with multiple waterfalls of emerald waters. A perfect paradise for the local biodiversity.

With the orientation of the visitor centre’s staff, we ran a scavenger hunt around two breathtaking bridges, looking for hints to solve a riddle and collecting small samples of fauna and flora that were later analyzed through a powerful microscope.

The day ended with a refreshing dip at the famous 30-foot pool.

Tomorrow we head back to Squamish for our last adventure: The Aerial Ropes Course!

Have you all a great evening.

Sincerely,

Spyros Bormann
