The first day of Junzi on Thanksgiving weekend was Saturday the 8th of October. We drove from PMA to Horseshoe Bay to catch the 11:15 ferry to Bowen Island. We got on the water at noon and started kayaking to the other side of snug cove. We were fortunate enough to find Harbor Seals that were sunbathing and hanging out on the rocks. After saying goodbye to the seals, the group paddled to deep bay/mannions bay to explore the bay, look at the wildlife and learn some kayaking skills. After kayaking, the group went for a refreshing swim and jumped from the pontoon! After the dip, we finished up kayaking, got changed, and had lunch while waiting on the ferry. We got the ferry back and drove back to PMA. We talked about the day and what we were doing the following day. After that we had dinner and got ready for the following day.
感恩节周末君子活动的第一天是10月8日星期六。我们从PMA驱⻋前往⻢蹄湾，搭 乘 11:15 的渡轮前往鲍文岛。我们中午上水，开始划皮划艇到舒适湾的另一边。 我们很幸运偶遇了正在晒日光浴并在岩石上闲逛的海豹。告别海豹后，一行人划桨 到后海湾/曼宁斯湾探索海湾，观赏野生动物并学习一些皮划艇技巧。之后，一行 人畅游一番，从浮桥上跳下!浸泡后，我们结束了皮划艇活动，换好衣服，在等待 轮渡的时候吃了午饭。我们乘渡轮返回学校。我们回顾了当天的课程并讨论了第二 天的计划和内容。吃过晚餐，开始为第二天做准备。
The second day of Junzi on Thanksgiving weekend was Sunday the 9th of October. We left the PMA Campus at 10 am and started driving to Whistler to do Peak to Peak Gondola. We started the trip at Blackcomb Mountain and got the first gondola up. We then hiked around the top of the mountain and looked at some of the fun facts and information about the gondola. Then, we traveled on the Peak to Peak Gondola from Blackcomb Mountain to Whistler Mountain. We got to Whistler Mountain and explored the peak and took in the beautiful views circling the mountain. We had lunch on Whistler mountain in the restaurant and we talked about the difference between the mountains in summer and winter. In the summer, the mountains are famous for mountain biking and hiking but once winter comes it’s all snowboarding and skiing. Everyone was very interested to try skiing and snowboarding for the winter. After we had lunch, we got the gondola back down to Whistler Village and hung around the Village and gave them some information about Whistler and how much of an outdoor enthusiast paradise it is!
感恩节周末君子活动的第二天是10月9日星期日。我们在上午 10 点离开 PMA 校 园，开始开⻋前往惠斯勒，乘坐 Peak to Peak 缆⻋。我们在黑梳山开始了这次旅 行，成功搭乘第一班缆⻋上山。然后我们在山顶附近徒步旅行，并查看了一些关于 缆⻋的有趣百科只是和信息。然后，我们乘坐山顶缆⻋从黑梳山到惠斯勒山。在惠 斯勒山，探索了山顶，欣赏了环绕山的美丽景色。我们在餐厅的惠斯勒山上共进午 餐，我们谈论了夏季和冬季山区的区别。夏季，山区以山地自行⻋和徒步旅行而闻 名，但一旦冬季到来，就成了单双板滑雪的世界。每个人都非常有兴趣在冬天尝试 双板滑雪和单板滑雪。吃完午饭，我们坐缆⻋回到惠斯勒小镇，在镇子里观光，给 他们讲解一些关于惠斯勒的信息，以及它是一个户外运动爱好者的天堂!
After the group’s gondola adventure, we returned back to the PMA dorms to get some well deserved rest. We then reconvened to have a group educational movie night. Everyone gathered around the big screen with popcorn and snacks to watch Luna: The Spirit of the Whale. This movie is based on a true story and explores the concepts of human and animal interactions along with learning about local indigenous culture and their relationship to nature.
The next morning, the group set out for a nature hike at BrandyWine Falls. At the start of the journey we witnessed some brave people bungee jumping from high heights. After cheering on the bungee jumpers we went on the trail. Here, the group interacted and learned about the different plants of the region. The group learned about traditional medicinal uses of specific trees and plants (most notably, the Red Cedar tree). Everyone did an amazing job getting to the final destination and were rewarded with a magnificent waterfall (see the attached pictures).

第二天早上，这群人出发去白兰地酒瀑布进行一次自然徒步旅行。在旅程的开始，我们目睹了一些勇敢的人从高处蹦极。在为蹦极者欢呼之后，我们继续前进。在这里，小组互动并学习了解了该地区的不同植物。学习了解特定树木和植物(最著名的是红雪松树)的传统药用用途。每个人都非常出色地到达了最终目的地，并获得了壮观的瀑布奖励(⻅附图)。
Overall, the Thanksgiving trip was filled with lots of laughter, fun, and learning. We look forward to seeing you again soon, and can’t wait to have you on the next adventure!
